KARACHI: Two traffic police personnel were shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the metropolis Sunday night, police said.

According to the office of Sindh Police Inspector General, the deceased were identified as constables Muhammad Sher and Nizam Din.

They were attacked by unidentified armed men near the Sunday Bazaar at the Main University Road.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The police have started investigations into the incident.
