Govt mulling option to highlight RAW involvement in Pakistan with UN: Aziz

ISLAMABAD: Senior Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security Sartaj Aziz said on Friday that the government is considering to highlight the issue of Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing's (RAW) involvement in Pakistan with the United Nations and other international forums.
Responding to question during the question hour session of the National Assembly, the Advisor said that Pakistan has taken up the issue of RAW's activities in Pakistan with various foreign leaders.
“The Prime Minister will also raise the issue of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan at the UN General Assembly,” he added.
He said that the foreign secretary had raised the issue with his Indian counterpart during the foreign secretary level talks held in March this year.

Replying to a supplementary question, the advisor said that the government has already condemned the recent terrorism incident which took place in India's Gurdaspur district. He added Pakistan has rejected the Indian allegations regarding Gurdaspur attack.
He said it has also been made clear that Pakistan has the capability to give befitting reply in case of any threat from Indian side.
Aziz also said that Kashmir issue must be resolved as per UN resolutions as Kashmir is the core issue in Pak-India talks.
He also said that 2300 Pakistani languishing in jails of Saudia Arabia as yet.

Going to the UN is a waste of time and resources. UN has proven to be an ineffective forum and a tool of selected world powers. It is obvious that those selected world powers are not interested in resolving the Kashmir issue because they do not want to annoy India in order to protect their business interests. UN resolutions about Kashmir remain unimplemented for decades now and there have been no consequences for India. Therefore, we should solve our problems directly by engaging India and for that we must be prepared to negotiate and willing to give up certain things in exchange for what we need in terms of our own security and for realizing our full economic potential

@AW What is UN Security Council Resolution 47 says - Pakistan to withdraw its tribal and national fighters from Kashmir and India to maintain minimum forces to maintain law and order. Both countries not adhered the points, moreover, after Shimla Accord of 1972, and Pakistan made security agreement with USA in 1954 India rejected the UN resolution. Now there is no UN resolution of Kashmir.

When things progressed, the Indian army , not happy about it, started loc violations. I am a pragmatist. We have given dialogue a chance with India for 68 years. It hasn't worked out. So now we have to move to the next step or hierarchy of dispute resolution. This is a very simple concept.
However, we cannot spend the next 68 years fiddling with the next step. Give it a few months and reach the final step whatever that may be. We owe it to our future generations that all issues with India are resolved expeditiously with whatever it takes.

if the evidences are without any proofs or relavent matters then country should understand internation community will back fire to govt, and will be isolated.think twice b4 blaming india.

If RAW or ISI are involved in such activities, it makes more sense to take the bosses of RAW & ISI to the International Court whenever proof exists of the respective agencies involvement in terrorist activities. That way at least someone will get punished and the common man is spared.

So far this man Aziz just talks without showing us his proof. To what countries did he show this proof to? If India is really involved a she say it is, then we should take care of this matter directly with them, face to face. Instead of this UN which is an incempetant organisation, just like Sartaj Aziz. He is just throwing wool over our eyes so that he can hide his Government's incompetency.

Pakistan has already wasted 68 years on Kashmir issue. Its high time to think practically ,wether is it worth wasting 68 years ??? What Pakistan has got in return??? Even an inch of land from India?? Guys please stop fooling yourself and us also. Focus on development,education,research. Give the future generations a good environment and a friendly neighborhood. Enough is enough. Let's put a full stop to hostility with India. The world only listen to Pakistan when it has muscle power,money power and man power.

Govt is going through so many crisis .poverty, terrorism, unemployment, energy crisis, education, low trade volume, less-infrastructure ....the list never ends...."Lets put those issues aside ...We will go to UN and complain about RAW" . How does that sound ? And that to we are laughable to stocks on world forum . Nobody listen us !!Wah wah re !!

Yesssss ... this should solve at least some of our problems. We will be able to spend money on our children's education instead of giving it to brave freedom fighters of Kashmir, Some of the money can be spent on electricity in Karachi and our Army definitely needs help

We need to expose RAW's involvement and catch their operatives. The whole world and even indian masses need to be made aware of the terror the Indian intelligence agency (RAW) has spread to neighbooring countries of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Hope the government does this soon!

@Blue Saffron : if you are lookin for pragmatic solution my friend - then make an economic deal with India in return for closing in on Kashmir.India did not give up on Kashmir last 70 years and will never give it up for various reasons not limited to its legal right... Why do you think World is not acting on Kashmir? World likes India for its economic power

If you are sincere in what you speak and don't act on it (provide solid evidence) , nothing would come out of it and is just fooling the patriotic and devoted citizens of the country.
This double-speak game isn't healthy for any country. The pain is borne by the citizens for no fault of theirs while the agencies related to it get political/economic mileage out of it from peoples' empathy.

Its amusing how you pakistani people relate to Turks, Mongols and S.Arabia inspite of being subjugated, dominated, enslaved and converted by them.
