LANDI KOTAL: Security forces arrested an important leader of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during a raid in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency on Thursday.

Officials said Ababeel alias Breth belonged to Jamrud chapter of the TTP. They said he was arrested outside his house in Sikandar Khel area of Ghundi and shifted to an undisclosed location.

The officials said that Ababeel was in his mid-30s and wanted by security forces and political administration for his alleged involvement in several terrorism-related cases, including the attack on security forces escorting polio vaccinators in Lashorra area on March 1, 2014, in which 12 Khasadar and Levies personnel were killed.
