Who thought that Jawad Ahmad, the flag bearer of patriotism, would be back with not just a new single but a video too!

Last seen in 2003, Ahmad is back with ‘Bhola Kya Karay’.

Ahmad, who gained popularity with songs like ‘Dosti’, ‘Mehendi’ and ‘Uchayan Majajan Wali,’ has been quite active with respect to labour laws in Pakistan and is involved with an organisation called ‘International Youth and Workers Movement’ (IYWM).

His newest venture ‘Bhola Kya Karay’, launched with support from Indus Consortium and Oxfam, which cater to such laws, addresses the plight of underpaid workers.

Opening with an every man who is doing odd jobs to survive, the song questions the fairness of our taxation process and addresses unequal distribution of wealth.

The lyrics of the upbeat song, written by Jawad himself, demand that the current system be modified.

Bhola kya karay, who jeeye ya maray…

K ameeron pe tax itna sa,

Aur ghareebon pe sales tax, levy tax, income tax

After the song was released yesterday, the singer alleged in a tweeted that media outlets weren't airing the song because it questioned the status quo.

Aired or not, the song marks the return of Jawad Ahmad. We wonder what's next?
