SCOUT ACTIVITY: The district boy scouts association has decided to send a contingent of boy scouts to Takya (Abbottabad) for participating in the weeklong scout training camp.

The decision to this effect was taken at meeting here on Sunday chaired by ESED assistant district officer physical education and sports Nisar Mohammad. Office bearers of the organisation and scout leaders from different public sector schools were in attendance.

The meeting was informed that the weeklong training activity would begin at the provincial scout training centre in Abbottabad from June 9. It also took up matters pertaining to finalising preparations and arrangements for ensuring participation of boy scouts in the training activity.

Several committees were formed to make transport and food arrangements and maintain discipline during the training session. Scout leaders were assigned responsibilities in this regard.

Mr Nisar, who also holds the office of district scout secretary, said full participation of boy scouts would be ensured at all costs.

He reiterated that all out efforts would be made for the revival of scouting in government schools.
