TIMERGARA: A man was killed while two others were critically injured when the car they were traveling in fell in the Panjkora River here late on Friday, police and local residents said.

They said that another man was missing and the rescuers were searching him and the car. According to a police report, a non-custom-paid car bearing registration no (PST-29691) was going to Timergara from Chakdara. It fell into the river when it reached a sharp turn at Saddo. The other transporters informed police about the incident. The police and local people struggled to search the car and its inmates but failed till Saturday morning.

Later, they retrieved body of a man identified as Farman, resident of Timergara. Two persons, Faheem and Irfan, residents of Rabat, were found injured on the riverbank, and were shifted to the DHQ hospital Timergara where condition of Irfan was stated to be critical.

Police while quoting the injured Faheem said that another inmate identified as Mohammad Bilal of Rabat was still missing.

The police registered a case and started investigation, while efforts were underway for search of the car and the missing man.
