AS reported in the media, four persons belonging to an unknown militant group have been arrested, including the mastermind involved in the Safoorah Goth bus carnage. The remaining members of the group are absconding and law-enforcement agencies are trying to trace them. The same group is stated to be responsible for other recent incidents in the city.

It was premature for the chief minister of Sindh to have announced an award of Rs50m for the police before all the members of this group are arrested. Also, it needs to be discovered who is the godfather of this group, and who is funding them and providing training in carrying out terrorist activities. It is important to know if their links go beyond the borders. We demand answers to these questions.
