KARACHI: Mohammad Junaid hit a century and spinner Abu Hurraira snared a seven-wicket haul as Zone-VI annihilated Zone-IV by 196 runs in the Division-I fixture of the KCCA Under-15 Inter-zonal Cricket Tournament here at the other day.

Batting first at the KCCA Stadium, Zone-VI posted 246-7 in their allotted 30 overs. Junaid slammed 16 boundaries in scoring 101 from 98 balls while Taha Riaz made 52 (nine fours and one six).

Zone-IV, in reply, were dismissed for a measly 50 in 12.5 overs as they fell prey to slow left-armer Abu Hurraira who returned brilliant analysis of seven for 13.

Mubashir Nawaz struck a superb 119 (17 boundaries) and Hasan Masood contributed 79 (six fours) to help Zone-I thrashed Zone-III by 166 runs at the Nazir Hussain Young Fighter Ground.

Mubashir later excelled with his off-spin bowling which fetched him four wickets for 10 runs.

Both Zone-VI and Zone-I also emerged victorious in their Division-II matches that were played later in the afternoon.

Zone-VI beat Zone-IV by 72 runs while Zone-I sealed a three-wicket victory against Zone-III.
