KARACHI: Two workers were killed when an elevator in a factory broke down in the Site area on Monday, according to police.

“Ittehad dyeing factory’s lift fell down as its chain broke down,” said Site-A SHO Ubaidullah Khan. The victims were identified as M. Asghar Ali, 55, and Rashid, 21. While another worker, Adnan, 22, was injured.

The dead and the injured were later shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The police officer said the relatives told the police that they would get the case registered after burial.
