LAHORE: Hosts South Korea defeated Pakistan 4-0 in the first match of the four-Test hockey series on Monday, according to information made available here.

Pakistan had defeated South Korea, twice, in the recently concluded four-nation hockey tournament held in Australia.

Fatigue might be a reason for the defeat against the Koreans, as Pakistan after returning from Australia last week, left for the current tour on last Friday after a three-day stay.

The second match will be played on Wednesday. The Pakistan team is touring South Korea as part of preparations for the Olympic Games-2016 qualifying round to be held in Belgium in June-July this year.
