PESHAWAR: At least seven people lost their lives and several others were injured when a downpour and hailstorm hit parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas on Sunday.
According to the Met Office, 4mm of rain was recorded in Peshawar. It forecast widespread rain for Monday, saying the spell may continue till Wednesday.

In Chitral, a house collapsed because of a landslide, leaving four members of the family dead.
According to Drosh police chief Zaffar Ahmed, lightning struck a hilltop in the Puret Gol pasture of Sheshi Koh valley, causing the landslide.
The bodies of Dilawar Khan, Khan Bibi, Fazle Rahim and Mohammad Israr were retrieved from the debris. They were buried in a village adjoining the Swat district.
The house of one Tariq collapsed in Khush Mela area of Lower Orakzai tribal region, leaving his wife and two children dead.
Four other houses caved in.
The heavy rain that began on Saturday and continued till Sunday night also damaged standing crops.
About 15 people were injured in accidents caused by rain coupled with hailstorm in Kurram Agency. Roofs and walls of several houses collapsed, standing crops and fruit orchards were destroyed and power supply to parts of the region was disrupted after a tower of the main supply line was uprooted.
The worst affected areas include Parachinar, Seran, Karman, Shalozan, Samair, Ahmadzai, Nasti Kot, Mali Kallay and Shakh.
