LAHORE: The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Administration Course for Men and Women, which will run until May 10, started at a local hotel here on Monday.

More than 30 administrators recommended by different provincial sports associations affiliated with Punjab Olympic Assoication are attending the course which was inaugurated by Punjab Law and Taxation Minster Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman.

At this occasion Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) secretary Khalid Mehmood, Punjab Olympic Association secretary Idrees Haider Khawaja and others were present.

The chief guest also accepted the offer made to him by Idrees to be chairman organising committee of the Punjab Games to be held later this year.

Earlier, POA secretary Khalid Mahmood told that administration in sports was very important and OCA had granted two administration courses to Pakistan.

The POA, he added, had allotted one each to Punjab and Sindh Olympics Assoications.

Course participants: Abdul Ghaffar Warriach (Athletics), Zaiba Manzoor (Archery), Syed Fakhar Ali Shah (Baseball), Dr Nabeel Ahmed (Body Bulilding), Syed Ouj-e-Zahoor (Basketball), Nadeem Manzoor, Muhammad Imran (Cycling), Shahid Sadiq (Canoeing), Mohammad Yasin (Gymnastics), Arshad Munir (Judo), Hamid Niaz (Jr Sports), Sonia Manzoor (Jiu-Jitsu), Tahir Abbas, Nudrat Bayan Majeed, Javed Bhutta (Kabbadi), Mohammad Nadeem (Karate), Mohammad Kishwer, Shahida Farhan (Muay Thai), Mufti Mohammad Haseeb-ud-Din Haider (Rifle-shooting), Ahmed Mahmood (Rowing), Sheraz Saleem (Squash), Babar Sherazi (Softball), Naeem Shahzad (Taekwondo), Shoaib Waseem (Tennis), Raheel Ali (Tug-of-War), Ejaz Malik (Throwball), Jabeen Bhatti Fakhra (Volleyball), Ghulam Fareed (Wrestling), Amir Shahzad Butt (Wushu), Noreen Imran (Handball).
