LAHORE: The Farewell Cup features the second last edition of the Lahore Winter Meeting when a card of seven races will be decided at the Racecourse here on Sunday.

A term race for three- year-old thoroughbred and half-bred colts and fillies the cup race will be contested by seven colts and fillies over the distance of 1,600 metres.

However, the Royal Ascot Cup, a handicap race for three-year-old and above horses, which was planned to be gone over 2,800 metres, has been declared void for want of entries.

Perhaps no owner wanted to take the risk of running his horse over this gruelling distance in the scorching summer heat.
