ISLAMABAD: National University of Modern Languages (Numl) on Friday signed an agreement with top Chinese university for establishing international centre in China.

A spokesman for Numl on Wednesday said that Numl and Xingjiang Normal University signed an agreement, in which both universities would cooperate to set new standards in higher education.

Both the universities agreed that to open NICE (Numl International Centre for Education) in china.

Rector Numl retired Maj-Gen Masood Hasan emphasised the need for such agreements that can bring considerable change in the education sector. He also praised the institutions on both sides. The spokesman said that agreements will offer a base for the people of Pakistan as well as the people of china to cooperate in the field of education.

Pakistan emphasizes to boost the performance of its education sector; NICE (Numl International Centre for Education) would be a breakthrough in this regard.

Head of Chinese delegation Prof. Abdul Wali Yati emphasized the need of improving the quality of education in both the countries. He stressed the need for cooperation between Numl and Normal University, Xingjiang.
