LAHORE: The 13th session of the Punjab Assembly will begin on Friday (today) to elicit elected representatives’ suggestions regarding the forthcoming budget.

Two ordinances – Punjab Disabled Persons (employment and rehabilitation) (amendment) Ordinance of 2015, and the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (amendment) Ordinance of 2015 – will be laid before the House while, the Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore Bill of 2015 will also be introduced during the proceedings.

The House will also take up written queries about forestry, fisheries and livestock departments before being opened for a general pre-budget discussion.

Assembly secretary Rai Mumtaz Husain Babar on Thursday held a meeting of the assembly staff to discuss security and other issues with respect to the session.

The security staff was directed not to permit any guest into the assembly building during the session.
