TAXILA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata opened the National Junior Basketball Championship in flying fashion on Tuesday.

In the tournament opener, the hosts went down 28-44 to Islamabad before KP thrashed Balochistan 33-6.

Fata then edged Sindh 55-50 before Balochistan suffered their second successive loss when they were beaten 8-31 by POF. KP got their second win when they beat Islamabad 52-42 before Fata matched them with a 55-28 win over Punjab in the day’s final game.
