MARDAN, Sept 21: The district Health Department Mardan will launch a 10-day anti-tetanus campaign in 54 union councils on Monday.

Women between 15 and 45 years of age will be administered anti-tetanus injections during the campaign.

In this connection a seminar was held here on Thursday, which was largely attended by health workers, women teachers and officials of non-governmental organizations.

District Nazim Haji Raza Khan, EDO (health) Dr Abdur Rahim, Coordinator National Programme Dr Wali and Coordinator Public Health Dr Jamil addressed the seminar.

Dr Abdur Rahim urged the participants to create awareness about the hazards of tetanus among women.

Haji Raza Khan said the district government was making utmost efforts to provide facilities to the masses at hospitals and urged the participants to play their role in wiping out tetanus.
