Two women injured in border shelling by India

SIALKOT: Mortar shelling by the Indian Border Security Force left two women critically injured on Friday in villages situated along the Working Boundary.

Salma (20) and Nasreen Pervaiz (26) were hit by the shelling in the Akhnoor village and were admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Sialkot.

According to officers of the Chenab Rangers, in a fresh spell of heavy mortar shelling, the BSF again targeted the civilian population in villages in Bajra Garhi, Umeraanwali, Harpal, Mairajkey and Charwah sectors.

The shelling also damaged several houses.

@Abdul Kadir - Most probably that is what triggers cross border firing. How can you expect BSF to sliently watch someone crossing in. But when that happens, rangers too respond and term it as ceasefire violation. Unfortunately, civilian lives are being lost.

Cross-border attacks will continue to happen and civilian population continue to die unless better sense prevails between rangers and BSF. They should demonstrate loylty to their people on both sides of the border and stop firing or shelling resulting int the deaths of civilians.

@Riaz for your information, india is a democracy but it doesn't allow secession, so even if people wants it can't disintegrate with us. And same lies for you why don't you give the same right to baloch and your side of kashmir first. And let assume if kashmir wants to go with India so will you leave your part of kashmir, I don't think so. hope you know the problems in detail.

It's nothing more than Modi thumping his chest after recent Obama visit. To show this, he shells poor people's houses across the border. Other reason for these impromptu shellings, India is not happy their proxy TTP is being firmly pushed out of Pakistan and back into Afghanistan.
