RAWALPINDI: The anti-measles campaign in the district received good response as health department teams vaccinated 1,974 children in two days.
In Cantonment and Potohar Town, the government had set a target to vaccinate 1,800 children against measles and polio.
“We administered anti-polio vaccines to 1,000 children from the age of six months to five years,” said District Health Officer-III Dr. Ansar Ishaq told Dawn.
He said that the campaign was facing no hurdle in the cantonment areas and Potohar Town during first two days.
“The people in this area are aware of the benefits of anti-polio and anti-measles vaccination and readily made their children available to mobile teams,” he said.
