LAHORE: Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) president Fawzi Khawaja has been elected as member of the Asian Rugby Football Union (ARFU) Executive Comm­ittee, accor­ding to a press release issued by the federation here on Monday.

The elections were held in Dubai, the other day.

A close contest was witnessed for the three vacant posts of the committee and at the end candidates from Pakistan, Chinese Taipei and Kazakhstan succeeded to win the seats.
