COAS in China: General Fan Changlong praises Zarb-i-Azb

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif called upon General Fan Changlong, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission, on Sunday morning, according to a tweet by Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Maj-Gen Asim Bajwa.
General Raheel Sharif left for a two-day visit to China on Saturday during which he is expected to meet China's political and military leadership to discuss issues pertaining to security and defence cooperation between the two countries.

Gen Fan termed 'China-Pakistan solid relations as strategic cooperative partnership' and called the two countries most important neighbours and iron brothers.
Showing solidarity with Pakistan against any challenge, "he praised 'Operation Zarb-i-Azb' and termed it as a decisive, indiscriminate, bold and hard blow for terrorists," said another tweet by the top military spokesman.

The vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission also praised Pakistan's national consensus reached against terrorism and the country's resolves, efforts, sacrifices in fighting the menace.
He also assured the visiting army chief of China's full cooperation in this regard.

This is General Sharif’s second visit to China since he assumed the command of the country’s military in 2013.

In UK a Chinese man Li Ka Shing is going to buy O2 for 10 Billion and he already owns water electricity gas and shipping port in UK. Do you have anyone who is doing this? Quite frankly, it is a 'going nowhere' relationship[ established and maintained as a counter weight to India further enhanced by USA & India cosying up recently. For proper on the ground development, poverty alleviation and spreading of a more liberal tolerant outlook in the nation we need USA & Europe more. But the other vantage point should be - a General's visit will never really build as much political connect and thus geo-strategic clout that is cemented by political and economic times in the long term. Looking up to the military as the only relatively reliable, disciplined and organized entity to mange the country's affairs such as foreign policy reduces the chance at attempting to build civilian entities.

Pakistan realises (I hope) that China is its best friend in the region. Through thick and thin it has supported Pakistan.
America on the other hand has betrayed Pakistan many times. Even now they are singing the tunes of India and praising the country whilst criticising Pakistan.
For more than 10 years Pakistan has suffered the effect of the Americans invading Afghanistan and giving India the ability to direct terrorists from there in to Pakistan.

Dear Abdul ji, it is a question of jobs and economics. Tata's have taken over JLR to keep the brand flying in the UK and to save the jobs.
BTW, Audi, Skoda, VW, BMW, all have their manufacturing units in India, apart from many others. Yes, some content is localized and others come from their primary sources, while the drive to increase the local content of parts continues.

Pakistan need to set its priority straight, get rid of the corrupt mafia at the top should be the top priority. The corrupt mafia with big egos going after Musharraf to settle scores does not make sense. The truth is that while the present (Nawaz) and previous (Zardari) governments are pro Indian regimes, the Pakistan military are a hard nut to crack and don't take any crap from India. The Indian military might have a bigger size but any wise man would tell that size means nothing, it's all about the heart and guts. @Hope the same works for Pakistan. If china wasn't located right next to India, Pakistan wouldn't have value her relations with China as much.

@Hope that's the difference you need to understand, China and Pakistan have been sincere to each other. Whilst US has seen only self interest for themselves. They are keeping their mutually beneficial freindship with Pakistan but also moving to India to exploit what they can. Indians will know what that means in a few years. India had the chance in early 1950's to resolve Kashmir and befriend Pakistan , but India botched it, based on its false perceptions of itself. Now, there is a chance if kashmir is still resolved, it will release billions from arms to welfare of each countries own citizens. But with the types of Modi, a shallow, unshopisticated, not worldly wise like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the chances are slim. All this man does is violate Loc, and Kashmiri's on both side get killed, which hurts Pakistanis but not Indians.

Gen. Shareef should ask china to lift ban on burqha. The Muslim Ummah is not happy with chinese treatment of ughigyur muslims.

@Gnanesh Ganesh ji, Indian debt $ 500 bn, yearly deficit $ 140 bn, which means India has to borrow to keep afloat. Sadly borrowed money spent on arms, ammunition and fruitless space probes, whilst the 90% go hungry to bed. Sad.

It's been a long time...:-)
While you are right in some points, it doesn't dampen our vision or enthusiasm to plan and keep progressing. There would be roadblocks, Black Swans, comments from extremely pessimistic losers - not only from within the country, but outside as well, and of course debts as you've said and oil imports which you've forgotten.
This sort of mental attitude was there even during the past decades, and unfortunately India didn't dare or willing to open up to the world, trudging the socialist line. But fortunately we mustered up courage and whacked ourselves on our heads and asked what we are doing ???? So the journey had begun, and we have shifted some gears. It is gathering speed now. If in your wise opinion that we should have eliminated all poverty, debt, (and not to forget the last toilet that should have been built by now), then we fall short of your expectations. But we, as people, are demanding that all the above and humongously more should be done and using the power of democracy to boot out governments which are inept and corrupt.
So, how's your country planning and progressing and what you are demanding your government and how it's going ? :-)
