DERA ISMAIL KHAN: An assistant sub-inspector of police, his two brothers and a mason were killed in a grenade-cum-gun attack in Hayatullah area on Wednesday.

DPO Dera Sadiq Hussain Baloch said that ASI Qaiser Jehan, his brothers Khurram Jehan and Ansar Jehan and mason Altaf Hussain alias Kaka Mistri were busy in some construction work near the official’s house when four assailants on two motorcycles hurled grenades and opened fire on them, killing them on the spot.

According to sources, the four lost their lives in a case of targeted killing.

The bodies were taken to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem.

The DPO and DIG Dera Ismail Khan Abdul Ghafoor Afridi and other police officials visited the scene of the attack. A search operation was launched in the area.
