KASUR, Sept 14: The city and its surrounding areas, including Khuddian, Mustafaabad, Mandi Usmanwala, received light rain on Sunday, turning the weather pleasant.
Starting in the afternoon, the rain continued nearly for an hour. In Kasur, two buffalos of Rehmat Ali were electrocuted in Mohallah Safdarabad while two cows of Shabbir Ahmad were electrocuted in Rasoolpur.
ABDUCTED: Five vagabonds abducted a girl on Sunday at Kamongal village, Phoolnagar.
Police said Asghar Ali along with his four accomplices barged into the house of Rasheed Ahmad. The intruders collected Rs5,200 in cash, three tolas of gold and also took away his niece Azra Bibi.
