Junior boxing camp from Tuesday

KARACHI: A 10-day Sindh Sports Board (SSB) junior winter boxing coaching camp gets into action at Ustad Abdullah boxing stadium, Peoples Sports Complex, from Jan 6, the organisers said.

The camp is being held under the aegis of Sindh Boxing Association. Junior boxers who are between the ages of 14 and 16 years are eligible to compete in the camp.

Meanwhile, a two-day refresher course for referees, judges and coaches will be held on Jan 8 and 9. Officials of Karachi, Sindh and Pakistan Boxing Federation can take part in the course.

International coaches Murad Bux, Sher Mohammad and Abdul Khaliq will impart training and coaching to the pugilists in the camp while Abdul Ghani Darwesh, Fida Hussain Baloch and Asghar Baloch will conduct the refresher course.
