GWADAR: Two persons died and another suffered serious injuries in firing by a group of men on a truck on the Coastal Highway near Pasni town.

The truck, heading towards Karachi, was loaded with urea.

In another incident, a truck was attacked and later torched by armed men on Tuesday.

According to Levies officials, the two incidents took place near Shadi Kaur area of the hitherto peaceful town.

The attackers, who were on motorcycles, opened fire on the trucks, killing two persons and injuring another.

The dead and injured were on the trucks when the incident took place. The three suffered multiple bullets wounds and two of them died while being taken to hospital.

One of them had been identified as Adnan Ahmed, while the name of the other victim and injured could not be ascertained. The attackers escaped.

A heavy contingent of Frontier Corps personnel launched a search operation in the area and took some suspects into custody for questioning.
