LAHORE: Dr Tahirul Qadri is going to unveil a wide-ranging plan against terrorism through a video link from the US on Friday (today).

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) central president Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi told a meeting of the central working council on Thursday.

“The PAT chairman will address a press conference from the US via a video link and reveal a comprehensive plan against terrorism and announce the future line of action of the party,” he said.

The council meeting participants, which paid tributes to Dr Qadri for giving a 600-page fatwa against terrorism, reviewed some suggestions for party’s re-organisation as well as its role against terrorism and sent them to the chairman for final approval.

The meeting prayed for the Peshawar victims and condemned the terrorist attack in the strongest words.

It instructed PAT divisional heads to launch a campaign to educate the public on preventive measures against terrorism and other social ills to help people understand the issues.

The meeting was attended by former foreign minister Sardar Assef Ahmed Ali, former governor Ghulam Mustafa Khar, central vice-president Sajid Pervaiz, Mazhar Hussain Dawana, retired Brig Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Jawad Hamad, Raja Zahid, Ahmed Nawaz Anjum, Rana Idrees and Razia Naveed.
