Three-day mourning in AJK

Published December 17, 2014

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has condemned the bloodbath in a Peshawar school and announced three-day mourning in the state.

“This is the most abhorrent and excruciating of all acts of terrorism Pakistan has so far gone through at the hands of people inimical to this nation,” he said in a statement here on Tuesday.

“Pakistan is going through the most testing times of its history which warrant for standing by the armed forces and security related institutions like a solid wall instead of dissensions and sit-ins,” he said.

He said terrorists had no association with any religion and they were simply the enemies of Pakistan and its people.

The AJK prime minister announced Rs100,000 each for the families of those who died and Rs50,000 each for the injured.
