KARACHI: Film launched

Published September 13, 2003

KARACHI, Sept 12: Philanthropists should come forward to ameliorate standard of health sector that badly needs contribution from private sector.

These views were expressed by speakers at the launching ceremony of Maanjhi, a documentary film produced by Hamdard Medical University based on the Manora Health Project. The project was launched by the university to provide free medicines and treatment to inhabitants of Manora.

Moinuddin Hyder, a retired army general, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that the government health policies in past could not accomplish the desired results for one reason or another. —PPI
