MANSEHRA: The Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (Erra) has included Oghi-Darband Road and Bandi Parao-Chamial Road in its reconstruction policy and work on these two road projects would be started soon.

“PML-N will fulfil its commitments with the people of Oghi and soon blacktopping and widening of the Oghi-Darband and Bandi Parao-Chamial roads would be started,” said Naeem Sakhi, the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Youth wing, while speaking to mediapersons in Oghi on Saturday.

He said that with the completion of these road projects an important issue of the people of tehsil would be resolved. He said that MNA Mohammad Safdar had been trying to fulfil his election promises with the people and huge funds were being spent on development projects in the area.

The youth wing president said that supply of electric poles and transformers worth Rs120 million had been started in PK-57 from the MNA’s funds. He said that Mr Safdar had assured a delegation of his party that soon more funds would be approved for supply of electricity to remote areas in the constituency.

SHOP LOOTED: Armed robbers looted a computer shop and took away electronic goods and mobile phones worth Rs1.2 million in upper Channia area here on Saturday night.

The robbers entered the Al-akwan Compute Shop of Jamaat-i-Islami city chief Ismail Siddique and decamped with 12 laptops, several mobile phones and Rs50,000 cash.

Registering an FIR with the city police, Mohammad Ibrahim, the salesman, stated that four armed men entered the shop and asked for SIMs. He said that they suddenly pulled shutter of the shop down, held him at gunpoint and decamped with computers and mobile sets.

The police registered an FIR and have started investigation.

MAN KILLED: A man was killed and his brother sustained critical injures when their opponents opened fire on them in Attershisha area here on Saturday. The victim, identified as Mohammad Naseem, is stated to be a low grade employee at the local government high school. The injured, Mohammad Sabir, was taken to Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad, in a precarious condition. The Sadar police have registered the case.
