Ailing Qadri leaves for US today

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri will leave for the United States on Wednesday (today) for medical examination.

According to the schedule, Mr Qadri will leave for Houston (USA) through the Emirates airline at 9:35pm along with his doctor (Dr M.M Mansoor) who especially arrived in Lahore on Tuesday morning.

“Dr Mansoor along with other local doctors checked Qadri Sahib. He also reviewed all medical reports and finally decided to shift the patient to America for better treatment after he expressed concern over the reports,” Mr Noorullah, spokesperson for Dr Qadri, told Dawn.

He said as soon as the PAT chief got well, he would return to Pakistan. He clarified that Dr Qadri while staying in Houston sometime ago also felt pain in his heart after which doctors had advised him not to visit Pakistan. But Mr Qadri rejected their advice keeping in view his pledge of returning to the country, Noorullah added.

He said the PTI chief Imran Khan and MQM head Altaf Husain also telephoned Dr Qadri and inquired after his health.

“Manzoor Watoo on behalf of Asif Ali Zardari also visited the Model Town residence of Dr Qadri,” he added.

I advise Dr. Qadri to leave politics once recovered from the shrowded illness. The most interesting page of this Qadri episode is that Shahbaz sharif never insisted to put him on ECL whereas Musharraf's name is updated daily in the ECL. Qadri was adamant to see Shabaz behind the bars as soon as possible, but Musharraf never asked his lawyer to do so. Very interesting episode. It will take atleast 5 years to know why, how, Qadri went abroad for treatment and how he was left without pursuing more than 10 cases against him including treason sort of charges

We have leaders. Shariefs visit London every other month for medical checks, with one son permanently settled there. Imrans sons are studying in UK. Qadri goes to USA for medical ckeck-up. Zardari lives in Dubai. Bilawal imported from UK after his studies and all these goons want, to rule Pakistan. None of them would let their dog be examined and treated by a Pakistani Doctor but they want to rule Pakistan.

Treatment in the U.S. does not come cheap. I would cost thousands of dollars (millions of rupees) to be treated there. Where is Dr. Qadri getting all this money for the globe trotting? How come he has an open visa for the countries he visits so often when thousands of Pakistanis are waiting for years to get a U.S. visa? Is there something in his background we don't know?
