LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has suspended its electrician from service for being involved allegedly in extorting money from residents of various residential schemes on Multan Road by posing himself as deputy director (recovery).

The decision was taken by the LDA’s administration department in view of a media report.

Recovery Department Deputy Director Azhar Wattoo also had a case registered against the accused person.

The LDA administration is also expected to hold an inquiry against the accused official under the law, according to a senior official.
