KARACHI: A cloth trader was killed in a Sohrab Goth area on Saturday.

A police patrol of the Sohrab Goth police station heard several gunshots in the Ganna Mandi area, where it found 40-year-old Dost Muhammad Khan shot dead and Muhammadullah lying injured at some distance.

“The deceased was a cloth trader and lived in the same area where he was killed,” said an official at the Sohrab Goth police station. “After initial investigations we came to the conclusion that it was a matter of some personal enmity.”

He said that three friends of Dost Muhammad came to see him on a motorbike. They had heated arguments and one of them started firing and the bullets hit Dost Muhammad dead and one of their aides. Dost Muhammad died while Muhammadullah was arrested in a wounded condition, he added.
