KHUZDAR: A grenade attack on a shopping complex left one person dead and 13 others injured here on Sunday.

According to police, men on a motorcycle hurled a grenade at the Arbab Shopping Complex and escaped. “A man was killed on the spot,” police officer Abdul Majeed Marri said, adding that the target of the attack was unclear.

Police and Frontier Corps personnel took the injured to district hospital where three of them were said to be in critical condition.

At least six shops and four vehicles parked outside the shopping complex were badly damaged. The deceased was identified as Abdul Wahab, a resident of Sorgaz locality on the outskirts of Khuzdar. The injured were Mohammad Waris, Mohammad Musa, Inayatullah, Rasool Bakhsh, Ejaz Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi, Mohammad Mureed, Mohammad Yaqoob, Jalil Ahmed, Fateh Mohammad, Mohammad Asif, Abdul Nabi and Abdullah.
