KARACHI: Karachi Blues scored double victories on Sunday to reach the final of the 1st PCB Inter-district Regional Under-21 Women’s Cricket Tournament at the State Bank Ground.

In the morning fixture, Karachi Blues defeated Karachi Whites by 10 runs in a low-scoring game before completing a convincing six-wicket win against Karachi Greens who have already qualified for title-decider with two victories.

In earlier fixture, skipper Ayesha Zafar 60 and Areeba Hanif batted brilliantly to strike unbeaten half centuries to inspire Karachi Blues to a 46-run win against Karachi Whites.

Batting, Karachi Blues posted 159-0 in their allotted 20 overs. Ayesha slammed 60 that featured six fours and a brace of sixes, while Areeba struck 10 boundaries in her 66.

Karachi Whites, in reply, finished at 113-4 with Sana Urooj scoring 48 that included three fours and one six.

Ayesha completed a good all-round performance by taking two wickets for 16 runs.
