Sunanda Pushkar death: Police probing suspected foreign hand from Pakistan, Dubai

NEW DELHI: In its probe into the death of Sunanda Pushkar, Indian police are seeking the list of passengers who travelled from Dubai and Pakistan to New Delhi, and vice versa, on and around January 17 — the day the wife of former Indian minister Shashi Tashoor was found dead in a New Delhi hotel, a report on the Times of India's website quoted sources as saying.
Though none of the police officers were willing to confirm the details, sources were quoted as saying that the Foreigners Registration Office or Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) which comes under the intelligence bureau had been asked for the information.

The request indicates that the involvement of a ‘foreign hand’ in the incident was being investigated.
About the passenger list being obtained, sources said that among other people who entered and exited India’s capital city around the time of death, the New Delhi Police was also trying to determine if any person from Pakistan or Dubai had visited the Indian capital or left it on the day Sunanda Pushkar was found dead.
Sources further said that after obtaining the list of passengers, investigators will select ‘suspicious’ travellers and try to question them.
They added that more than a thousand passengers will be needed to be checked.
Some investigators have said that the possibility of suicide as a cause of Pushkar's death has not yet been ruled out.
Pushkar was a Dubai-based entrepreneur before she married Shashi Tharoor in 2010.

She was found dead in a five-star hotel in New Delhi under mysterious circumstances on Jan 17 this year, a day after she had accused Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar of “stalking” her husband and of trying to “break” her marriage when she was away for medical treatment for three months.
Tarar had denied Pushkar’s accusation of an affair between her and the former high-flying UN diplomat.

@Parvez @pakistani first of all , nobody is blaming pakistan.investigative agencies have to look at every minute detail.and even if someone is blamed , it will be an individual and not ur entire country.
and we always provide proof (we sent all the recordings, transcripts for 26/11)
and u were the same people who blamed india for the wagah border attack, though they were done by groups which will kill us indians first if they got the chance.

The truth needs to come out and I hope justice is served soon. She was murdered. What's wrong in exploring all the possibilities...... Including Tharoor ? Sunanda Pushkar was an extraordinary woman who had lived in Dubai at onetime. This may bring closure for her family members and our hearts go out for her only son Shiv who is courageously coping with the loss. No fingers are being pointed, the case is still under investigation. Please cooperate.

Indian police needs to learn more about behavioir of a criminal than intigating a country's involvement of her death who had severe marital issues (wasn't double spy either). In short, the naive police department must focus on the "motive" than involving world's top spy agencies for this crime. This is how foul play inclusive of suicide are solved. Wonder why autopsy couldn't be conclusive after this long or is this pretext of her rich husband is getting off the hook just like many rich enjoy freedom after crime? It is sickening to read any time Indian leaders have stomach ache, they blame Pakistan including all evils in their country!

Sick and tired of pointing fingers from across the world, Pakistanis now startacting funny even without reading what the report says. There was a confrontation between Meher Tarar and deceased Sunandha as the latter suspected Meher having an affair with her husband Shashi Tharoor. Meher and Shashi both denied and no one knows the truth. The autopsy report point towards poisoning and police is investigating from that angle thats it. Now Meher happens to be a Pakistani is not fault of Pakistan. First of all it is media that is dragging Pakistan into this unnecessarily. These are individuals not countries so vigilants from both sides stop being stupid.

They need to get on the reality check band wagon and quit the sensationalist/baseless accusations against Pakistan. It seems pretty obvious that Shashi Tharoor had a hand in his wife's "suicide." Since he lived in New Delhi as an MP for quite some time, maybe he made some close "friends" in the New Delhi police dept.
