#HappyBirthdayIK: PTI Chairman Imran Khan turns 62

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan turned 62 today (Sunday).

With the dharna crossing 50 days, the spirit of Imran Khan's supporters remains undeterred as they sit with their families at Parliament House and will be celebrating his birthday with him.

Earlier there had been some confusion surrounding his date of birth as some reported it as November 25; however, it was later clarified that the correct day is October 5.

To celebrate their leader's birthday, Imran Khan's ardent followers made #HappyBirthdayIK the top trend on Twitter.

I'm offended by seeing the tweet saying "Jinnah reborn". Jinnah is in a completely different league and Imran does not make 20% of what Jinnah was, so please don't insult Jinnah's memory. Anyways happy birthday to Imran Khan and I hope you do bring a positive change.

When he takes a challenge, the outcome out to be positive. This is what i like about him apart from his other attributes. Pakistan was lacking such a leader after the great Jinnah. We should not let this great opportunity seeing him and ardently supporting him for the prime position go abating. Like everything, IK has made his date of birth also controversial. All our lives we have known that his D.O.B was 25 Nov 1952 and now after 62 years he is declaring that it is 5 Oct and blaming BCCP for that. Somebody must have provided the wrong proof of his D.O.B to cricket board otherwise how can they come up with such a document themselves? And as usual , in this case also , the blame rests with someone else. Nice attitude IK, stop fooling the nation. BTW, Happy Birthday

@Tangerine- Why IK need to telling a different birthday date. Must documented wrong date by the media before. And what is the big deal if his birthday is 5th or 25th. Nothing to do with his political ideology. We were being fool around by sharif and bhuto family for ages. At least IK has clean background.and he want to do good for pakistani. Is it this not enough for us to support him. Why we want to support those crooks they are over and over again cheating us.

@Haris He is no Jinnah. But he is the best after him so far. Include Bhutto in this. ( Bhutto may be great but his name comes up whenever we talk about Pakistan split ). You can compare IK with Jinnah. He is sincere like him. Tireless. Selfless , patriot and no corruption etc. if Jinnah is the gold standard -- so far IK is done well. He even has a vision of Pakistan with true democracy --- ( extremely difficult to achieve ) he is the ONLY man standing against the corrupt system. Unfortunately people like him don't last long. However Jinnah was a good politician---- which IK lacks.

@Tangerine Making an issue out of a non issue-- we Pakistanis are very good at. Tolerance---- to think about it if IK was not tolerant he would not have waited for more than a year to come out on the roads -- ( after all the doors including Supreme Courts were closed all credit to NS and ex CJ ) Now on the other hand -- tolerance---- to take the containers out , you kill 18 and injure 100 people ? Doesn't look good. Does it?
