QUETTA: A military aircraft crashed in the Kuchlak area of Quetta on Tuesday morning, a security official said.

A security official who requested anonymity told Dawn.com that the aircraft crashed near Kuchlak which is located 25 kilometers north-west of Quetta.

"The plane crashed as a result of a technical problem", he said.

He, however, added that the pilot of the aircraft survived during the crash.

Police and personnel of the law enforcement agencies reached the spot of the incident as an investigation went underway, Pakistan Air Force sources also told Dawn.com.

This incident comes over a week after a similar aircraft crashed in Ziarat district of Balochistan.

Two pilots in the aircraft were injured in that crash incident.
