Regrets

Published September 30, 2014

THIS is about the letter ‘Selling treasure’, published in these columns in our issue of Sept 13, 2014. On complaints from Karachi University authorities, Dawn Readers’ Editor was asked to investigate the matter. Even though the very next day’s issue contained a denial by the university librarian, the DRE is of the opinion that the letter should not have been published because it did not conform to Dawn’s ethical standards. The error of judgment is regretted. — Editor
