LAHORE: The three-day trials to select a three-member team including a girl for participation in the Nick Faldo Golf Championship in China began here on Friday.

For boys there are three age categories –U-21, U-18 and U- 16 — and one for girls U-21.

At the end of the first day, the two players who stood out in the U-21 category were Usman Ali and Haris Rehman. Others who made their presence felt in this category are Nadeem Aslam and Ahmed Sultan Kiyani.

In the U-18, top one was Mustafa Ali Ghani with score gross 75 followed by Asad Attique.
