WHAT moral authority does Imran Khan have to dismiss Javed Hashmi from the party? Wasn’t Mr Hashmi an elected president of the PTI?
If this is how appointments and dismissals are made, what is then the difference between the PTI and any other ‘status quo’ party?
Let us suppose Nawaz Sharif does step down, look around the ‘revolutionaries’ and the ‘heterodox’ team around Mr Khan; the upright Sheikh Rashid, high and mighty Jahangir Tareen, the ever-so-pure PML-Q’s Chaudhary brothers, and the fresh blood of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ghulam Mustafa Khar and the likes!
Do the people think these traditionalists are going to bring about land reforms or constitutional and electoral changes, then they are sadly mistaken.
My respects to Javed Hashmi for not compromising on his principles.

THIS is the spirit of a loyal Pakistani which differentiates Javed Hashmi from other politicians. Congratulations to him for living up to his beyond reproach reputation and speaking the truth.

ONE must not forget that even when Mr Javed Hashmi was a PTI MNA, he said on the floor of the House that Nawaz Sharif is still his leader.
He must now leave politics, call it a day and live a retired life writing his memoirs.
