THE civil administration has made it a common practise of blocking public thoroughfares the moment an unusual event is in the offing.

This causes hardships to citizens. The authorities should take measures to control and manage the situation, and ensure the smooth flow of traffic.

On Sunday (Aug 31) the road in front of Bilawal House was closed, while the road was blocked for traffic coming from Boating Basin towards Schon Circle and turning left for proceeding towards Teen Talwar roundabout.

Keeping public roads open at all times is one of the most primary duties of a good government.
