SUKKUR: A teenage boy reportedly axed his sixty-year-old father to death in Jawario Mir Bahar village within the jurisdiction of Sultan Pur police station near Pano Akil on Friday.

According to villagers, Saifullah Mirani, 14, fled after axing his father Amanullah Mirani, 60, to death in the house.

Police shifted the body to the Pano Akil taluka hospital to conduct a post-mortem and took Amanullah’s widow into custody for interrogation over suspicions she might have incited the son to the kill the father.

The widow told police her husband was pressuring his son to do something that he was not ready to do and in frustration he killed the father with an axe.
