KARACHI: A brilliant all-round performance by Musharraf Sheikh inspired National Gymkhana to a five-wicket success over Orangi Muslim CC in the KCCA Zone-VI ‘A’ Division League Cricket Tournament tie here on Saturday.

Opting to bat first at the RLCA Ground in North Karachi, Orangi Muslim CC were all out for 216 in 37.1 overs with Shirazuddin hitting 60 that included six boundaries.

Musharraf bagged four wickets for 54 runs with his slow let-armers.

National Gymkhana, in reply, reached their target in 36.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Usman Khalil scored 56 while Musharraf remained unbeaten with 52.

In another match played at the KCCA Stadium, Orangi United CC defeated Hyderi Sports by 46 runs. Medium-pacer Ata Mohammad claimed four wickets for 63 runs as Orangi United CC were dismissed for 221 in the 34th over. Asghar Khan was the top-scorer with 46.

Hyderi Sports, in reply, mustered a total of 175 all out in the 33rd over despite Moiz Khan contributing a superb 79.

Off-spinner Mohammad Zohaib Siddiqui was the wrecker-in-chief by capturing five wickets for 27 runs.
