LAHORE: Lawyers boycotted courts on Thursday to express their disdain for any likely extra-constitutional move in the wake of prevailing political turmoil in Pakistan.

Lawyers of the Lahore High Court (LHC) and district courts boycotted courts and hoisted black flags on bar's premises.

Litigants faced difficulty due to strike. LHC Bar Association Shafqat Chohan said the Thursday's strike was critical as it was for supremacy of the constitution.

He said lawyers wanted to voice against unconstitutional dharna and protests. The strike was called by the Pakistan Bar Council.
