LAHORE: The PML-N Lawyers Forum on Tuesday held a demonstration against the Tehreek-i-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek at GPO Chowk on Tuesday.

The lawyers chanted slogans against Imran Khan and Dr Qadri for, what they said, raising unconstitutional demands and pushing the country towards anarchy. They expressed solidarity with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and vowed to frustrate any unconstitutional act in the country.

Forum president Naseer Ahmad Bhutta said the sit-ins by both the PTI and the PAT were in violation of an LHC full bench order.

Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) announced convening an all Pakistan lawyers' conference on Aug 21 to discuss the prevalent political situation.

At a press briefing, LHCBA President Shafqat Mahmood Chohan said the lawyers' representatives from the Supreme Court Bar Association, Pakistan Bar Council, all four provincial bar councils and bar associations from across the country would be invited to the conference.
