KARACHI: Chief referee of the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS) Joseph Loo of Hong Kong has conducted practical tests for issuing possible licences to four referees from Iran and one from Pakistan on the sidelines of the Asian 6-Reds snooker championship which is in progress at a local hotel here.

The Iranians, who appeared in the test were Esmail Khadim, Farhad Mohammedi, Naveed Navidan and Hassan E. S.

The lone Pakistani, who figured in the test, was Naveed Kapadia, the PBSF media officer.

The panel of referees who are supervising the matches besides the Iranians includes licence-holders Shabbir Hussain Daruwala (Pakistan) who is also assistant referee, Ziad Al Sayeed (Syria), Rocky Chan (Hong Kong), Amir Mukhtar (Sri Lanka), Aqeel Bux, Nafees Bux, Rafiq Khan and non-license holders Mohammad Shahid, Mohammad Arif and Hanif Raja from the host country.
