NOWSHERA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Nowshera chapter, has termed the Azadi March of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf a drama to hide its failures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“Imran Khan’s campaign against the elected government shows that he is following a foreign agenda and is not sincere with the nation,” said PML-N district senior vice-president Zulfiqar Bacha while addressing a public gathering held in connection with the Independence Day at Akora Khattak here on Friday.

He said that PTI had started a drama of Azadi March in the country to hide its failure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that PTI did not fulfill the promises it had made with people during the general elections. He said that they had informed the Election Commission of Pakistan and party leadership regarding massive rigging in general elections in NA-6, but unfortunately their demand was not taken seriously. He claimed that PML-N had won the elections, demanding the commission to recount the votes of NA-6.

Regarding the Independence Day, he said that Pakistan came into being as a result of great sacrifices. He said that the ongoing operation against terrorists in North Waziristan was a serious matter and the nation should extend full support to the Pakistan Army. Nowshera district PML-N president Noor Mohammad, general secretary Saleem Mujahid, provincial joint secretary Sohail Khan and others were also present on this occasion.

MAN KILLED: A man was killed when he fell from his motorcycle after it hit a ditch on a broken Chela Bridge here at Choki Mamraiz. Police identified the man as Sabir Ali, a resident of Ismailabad, Risalpur. They said that Mr Ali had come to Choki Mamraiz to meet his relatives. They said that he was taken to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries before getting any medical treatment.
