QUETTA: A blast killed one person and injured another nine people in Satellite Town area of Quetta on Wednesday, police said.

A police official, who requested anonymity, told Dawn.com that two militants riding a motorcycle hurled a hand-grenade at a national flag-seller in Goal Masjid area of Satellite Town.

He said one person was killed whereas the flag-seller and nine other injuries in the attack.

"The blast smashed the glasses of nearby shops," he said.

The attackers sped away on their motorcycle after the attack. The injured were rushed to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment.

Frontier Corps and police reached the spot and cordoned off the area as an investigation into the incident went underway.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. However, police suspect Baloch separatists for the attack.

This incident has come a day after a similar bomb attack on Prince Road area of Quetta. Over twenty people were injured in that bomb attack.
