GWADAR: China will establish an industrial park in Gwadar. This was stated during the visit of a delegation from China, led by Liu Jin M, GM Investment Banking Department, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

The other two industrial parks would be established in Lahore and Faisalabad.

Officials of Gwadar Development Authority said the visit was in line with a series of policy initiatives under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and bilateral and multilateral understandings between different Chinese and Pakistani public-sector, as well as private sector companies and organisations.

The objective of ICBC-HBL-Holly group delegation’s visit to Gwadar was mainly to have an on-site investigation for top priority Industrial Park at Gwadar.

Additionally, the team met local businessmen of Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and some investors, who had come from Karachi, Lahore and other parts of Pakistan.

The Chinese investors expressed their interest to jointly work as industrial park / free zone operators, developers and investors.
