ISLAMABAD, July 16: The government has identified Tharparkar and Badin in Sindh as the most poverty stricken areas where a pilot project, early childhood development, amounting to $30 million will be launched within this year with the financial help of the Asian Development Bank.

According to official sources, the government is now in the process of identifying two more extremely poverty hit areas in Balochistan where a similar pilot project will also be launched by 2003. Except for Quetta, all other areas of Balochistan were considered as very poor.

After two years, these two pilot projects will be started at the district level in Sindh and Balochistan.
